RCS Community Involvement

Community involvement is often missed by business owners and managers because of the feeling that it does not directly impact the operational business. RCS takes a much different approach towards community involvement. It is not only an important part of the operational business but also an important part of the RCS culture. It's a "Win-Win" situation for all involved, and it makes us feel good!

RCS' participation in community affairs includes but is not limited to donations of employee time, corporate monetary donations, loaning out of equipment and equipment operators, and the sponsorship of many programs and events in and around the Tri-Cities. RCS established, manages and sponsors the annual Domestic Violence Services of Benton & Franklin Counties Golf Tournament which has raised over $110,000 since 2006. RCS executives serve on the Domestic Violence Services Board of Directors and the Junior Achievement Board.

RCS strongly encourages our employees to support local activities and charities and allows flexibility with work time to do so. RCS employees routinely volunteer their time to coach youth sports and participate in local charitable events. Employees will plunge into the frigid waters of the Columbia River to support Special Olympics Polar Plunge event, will dress up like clowns and bowl for dollars to support Junior Achievement, sew silk pillow cases and walk for miles during Relay for Life to help cancer patients, be jailed for the local March of Dimes, and shop 'til they drop to support families in need at Christmas time.
